An open city by ambition, Essaouira breathes peace. Jews, Christians, Arab Muslims, Berbers and Black Africans have mostly lived there in harmony. Once you put your feet in the place Moulay Hassan, you will smell the fresh fish coming from the harbor and all the fishermen’s are walking back with them catch of the day.
Back in the days, our parents always talks about their friendship with all kind of people and the great atmosphere they shared and still Essaouira has this charm of welcoming everyone.
